Savvy by DB Priceline Discounted Makeup Haul

Hello my fellow beauty and makeup lovers :)

Today I’m here to share you some cheap, yet some decent quality makeup from Savvy by DB. It’s one of those cheap affordable makeup lines where beginners and teens can buy without having to put a gigantic hole in their wallets.

Priceline had a sale bin and most of the products in there were from Savvy by DB makeup range. There wasn’t much of a choice in there as most of them were the same stuff. I also couldn’t try them as there was no sample for you to swatch, so that didn’t help much either. They were getting rid of some eyeshadows, the ones with the plastic silver casing instead of the usual brown casing. I think it was a one time thing not too long ago when they changed the colour of the packaging.

Anyway I picked up 4 mono eyeshadows for a discounted price of $2.99, and silly me I actually for got to check the original price of a mono eyeshadow from the Savvy shelves at the back of the shop. I apologise for that, but I doubt it would be over $5 AUD.

Each product contains 3.24g/0.11 oz of product and the colours I picked up are:

Moss – Green
Grape – Purple
Bisque – Brown
Peach – gold/champagne

There was also a blue one, but I saw most of them were shattered in the casing so I didn’t put that in my basket. Anyway here are the swatches with and without a base.

I couldn’t really tell the difference in the photos, but when I looked at my arm closely the base just fills in the cracks in the skin so the shadow appears to be more intense since it isn’t sinking into the skin. I have to say I wasn’t expecting much and they turned out better than I thought they would. In my opinion these four are better than some of the NYX single eyeshadows.

The texture is soft and smooth and it’s not even chalky. It felt so smooth when I applied it on my arm that I was unconsciously nodding my head as I did it. No complaints from me really, they were cheap and the quality was alright.

I also picked up some lip liner pencils for a discounted price of $2.99 (sorry no original price -_-“). Each pencil contains 1.2g/0.04 oz of product and here are the swatches.

These are not very creamy pencils but they’re not horrible, however they only last a couple of hours so it not a wear for the whole day kind of thing. They’re cheap so the expectation is kind of as I expected unlike the eyeshadows.

I got another budget makeup brand review coming up, I think I’m also having fun finding some cheap affordable makeup rather than always buying expensive or high-end products. What do you guys think about this kind of idea?

I as well am an aspiring blog blogger but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any suggestions for inexperienced blog writers? I'd really appreciate it.
