Inglot Matte Eyeshadow from Bargin Bin Swatches

I'm back!

Yes the title of the post says it all.  I am back with four more shades from the Inglot Matte Eyeshadow range and they are once again from the bargain bin.  They each originally cost $22 each but I paid $11 for each one :)  50% off for Inglot mattes!

Yay!  more to the collection :)

I didn't plan to buy anything and yesterday I was shopping with a good friend who had asked me sometime ago about helping her out with buying blush and contour powder.  It was a good day with great weather and I very much enjoyed shopping with her :)

Jesse's Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dusts Swatches

I actually owned these Jesse's Girl Eye Dusts for a year now and I just forgot about ever doing swatches of them.  I first heard the name of this brand when I was watching one of Youtube Guru JulieG's video.  Therefore I am not affiliated with Jesse's Girl and these pigments/eye dusts are not free.  I purchased them with my own money.

Anyway there is a total of 28 shades int he collection and checking their website it haven't changed.

http://www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com/

These eye dusts can be purchased from the website or if you live in the US they are available in some Rite Aid Stores (I think).

Pricing According to Website (Does not include shipping charges):

$4.99 each
2.5grams of product in a plastic jar with sifter

I purchased the the whole lot for:

$92.50 for all 28 shades
(Roughly $3.30 each)

However I know there are people who may not want all the shades so purchasing them individually may suit them better.  They also sell other cosmetics on the website so you can check them out and I previously done swatches for their Star Dust Powder Eyeshadows which you can view here if you haven't so:

Jesse's Girl Star Dust Powder Eyeshadows

Hope these swatches help, they're wonder pigments and are of great quality.   They're smooth and soft, even the ones that were more glittery were smooth and not chunky.  These swatches are done without a base so if you do use a base then the pigmentation would be greater and it'll grip the pigments better as well.  For those that look rather more glittery a stickier base would be highly recommended.

Bourjois Paris Smokey Eyes Palettes

I’m back to share some new products I bought and since then I haven’t bought another makeup product. Been at least 2 or 3 weeks now I think… so far so good…

Learning to reduce my spending and try to just live with what I own and I have to say I own a lot!

Bourjois Smokey Eyes Palettes comes in three different set of 3, I only got two since the other one was sold out at the store I got them from. I only remember paying half the price they normally sell it for so I thought it was alright to give myself a treat.

04 Nude Ingenu, 05 Rose Vintage
I bought 04 Nude Ingenu (browns) and 05 Rose Vintage (Pinks), however I have to be very honest after testing them. They’re not particularly great and I’ve seen reviews on them that were not very favourable towards this product. The pigmentation was alright, nothing great but lacking in some way. I’ve noticed that the lightest colour in both of them don’t really show up or have much pigmentation. They’re all shimmer base eyeshadow so there isn’t any love for matte colours.

The texture of the eyeshadows is smooth, but blending is such a pain that I would probably not use them much. You heard me right; I found blending the eyeshadow was harder than most drugstore eyeshadows. I know for a fact that it wasn’t because I wasn’t blending enough, I was blending like crazy but it just doesn’t really blend well at all.

Here are some swatches I did…

Top line is without any base or primer.

Second line is with Elf Mineral eyeshadow primer.

Third line is with NXY Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk.

Anyway I went ahead and did an eye look with Nude Ingenu and here is how it turned out.

How do you guys like the new borders I add to the pictures?

Is anyone interested in seeing some swatches of e/s and gel liners from Inglot?

Should I do an update on my new makeup organisation?

Anyway thanks everyone single one of my followers for their continuous support :)

I’ve finally collected my stuff for the giveaway and it will be launched on 31 January, because that day will mark my one year blog anniversary. Keep an eye out for that date and come back to enter :)

Almay Eyeshadow Palettes & FOTD

First time ever trying Almay eyeshadows because I haven’t found a place that allows you to swatch them. So I was always reluctant but I just got two because I actually wanted to try them for the longest time.

Intense i-color

Powder Eyeshadow

Trio for Browns 021 (purples)

3.6g/0.13 Oz

Trio for Brown Eyes

I have to say one thing, I love the fact it is a clear top so I can see the colours without having to open the palette.  Each of these palettes also comes with a sponge applicator even though I don’t use them; it’ll come in handy when travelling.  The size of them is good as well as they’re not bulky so when travelling they don’t take up too much space.  The packaging is good quality and not the soft cheap plastic so it doesn’t break just from opening and closing them too much.

with Flash

The pigmentation is great and they’re soft and smooth so it glides on great when applied.  The colours are also good and great for creating a simple look with them on days you’re rushing and have little time to do your makeup.

Intense i-color

Light Interplay Technology

Powder Shadow

Trio for Hazels 033

4.8g/0.16 Oz

Trio for Hazel Eyes
I have no idea why this one has more products and the price is the same, and the highlight in this colour is huge compared to the purple one.  This palette however includes instructions on how the eyeshadows should be used.  Handy for beginners who are looking for how to apply eyeshadows on themselves.  Just like the previous one it is the same size packaging and comes with a sponge applicator as well.  The other different from this palette is that the packaging/case is completely clear but the quality of the plastic is just as good as the purple one.  This palette also contains one matte eyeshadow which is the black one and the purple one didn’t have a matte eyeshadow at all.
With Flash

The pigmentation is just as great and it easy to apply and easy to blend as well.  Even though it was made for hazel eyes I hope I can find a way to work it one my brown eyes.

Have anyone else tried Almay Eyeshadows?

Used my new Almay purple eye palette to create a look and thought I share it on my blog. It didn’t really turn out as well as I had wanted it to so I’ll have to attempt another time with this palette and hopefully then it’ll be better.

The camera washes out the colours, it was more intense than this :p

Need to reset camera settings, it's fading the colours too much!

Gloss Mini Haul

Stopped by at Gloss Cosmetics some time ago and only managed a quick peek and picked up things that interested me instantly.  It’s a cosmetic store in Australia that stocks BYS, Chi Chi, Boots No 7, and some of the usual drugstore cosmetics as well.  I also noticed it sold some accessories and their own brand of brushes.

Mini Haul from Gloss Cosmetics

Anyway I picked up two things from the brand Be Yourself and they are two Shine Stick Eye Shadow in green and Blue.  You get 2g of product and it’s only $3 AUD per stick.  Pretty cheap in my opinion and I thought these two colours look pretty nice when I swatched them quickly on my hand in the store.

It’s the typical twistable pen and the texture of the shadow is very creamy and soft. Pigmentation is pretty good for the price it is sold at and glides on very well. There is a small chemical smell to it if you put it up to your nose otherwise you would hardly notice it.

I smudged the top line and see how it would look if I were to use it as a base, and I have yet to put dry/powder eyeshadow over it. However I think using them as a base would be the best way to use them.

I never knew that Australia even stocked Boots No 7 and I was surprised when I saw it because I’ve been seeing it a lot on the internet with some pretty good reviews. However there was a very small range of it and most of it was foundation so that didn’t really interest me much. I did however pick up an eyeshadow quad.

You get 4g worth of product at $7.95 AUD and to me I thought it was alright since you get four colours in the quad.

Boots No 7 Eye Quad Palette - Hypo Allergenic

“A palette of gorgeous shades that can be used wet or dry for endless combinations of colour.”

“Use the colours dry to create a soft wash across the lids or dampen the end of the flat brush for an intense flash of colour close to the lashes.”

My thought on the eyeshadows were pretty good because I wasn’t sure what to expect out of them for that kind of price.  They’re pretty pigmented and the shadows are soft and smooth.  All four colours are shimmer/pearl under base and I liked the packaging quite a bit.  Travel size and it looks so simple yet sleek.

Savvy by DB and SHE Loose Pigments Swatches and Review

I’m pretty sure you’ve seen that I’ve been buying Savvy’s Loose Mineral Eyeshadow when they go on sale for $2.99. Well with no surprise I picked up another 3 colours to share with you guys.

Swatches as usual…

Savvy by DB Mineral Loose Eyeshadows

I’ve have been loving these loose eyeshadows because they’re cheap and good stuff. The pigmentation as the same the ones from before are great and it’s not large chunks but nice soft and smooth texture which is easy to blend. Packaging is as per normal like any other jar that carries pigments and loose powders.

On the other hand I am for the first time using a cosmetic and beauty brand called SHE. I always walk pass the displays in Priceline without much of a glance and because they were on sale I end up buying two of their colourful pigments. The exact name for them is SHE Australia Dusting Powders for those of you who are curious. So yet this is another Australian brand and I’m happy to test something that is local.

Let’s start off with swatches.

SHE Dusting Powders

Wihtout Flash

First of all love the packaging and even though it is just a typical jar, I love who it is completely clear. Pigmentation of these dusting powders is lovely and with a base the colours are even more vivid than without. The pigments are quite fine and very smooth and soft when applied to the eyes. However I won’t say that blending them is great. They do blend but with some careful blending work.

These however are more expensive than the Savvy ones even at full price (which I had forgotten because I loose the receipt the minute I get home). Then again the colour range is not huge and the colours are a huge different from the ones that Savvy produces.

So that’s what I thought with a bit of comparison between the two brands.

What do you guys think?

CoverGirl Eye Enhancers Eyeshadow Palettes Swatches and Review

I recently bought 2 of the CoverGirl Eye Enhancers from Priceline and hadn’t swatched or reviewed them yet. So today I’m just here to share with you my experience on them.

Each palette comes with 4 shades of colours and I already own Tropical Fusion from CG and I absolutely love the colours it came with. However I recently bought two and they are Country Woods (215) and Crystal Waters (270) to try out.

Left: Country Woods
Right: Crystal Waters
*Each came with a sponge applicator that I had taken out

Let’s run through a couple of pictures of the swatches I did on my hand with and without a base.  Also a photo of the Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Base that some of you maybe curious of.  I use this one most of the time as a base for swatches unless stated otherwise.

Estee Lauder Eyeshadow Base I use to do swatches with

215 Country Woods

CG so far had never disappointed me when it comes to their eyeshadows as their pigmentation is lovely with and without the base. The texture is always soft and smooth and not chalky at all. When applied to eyes it glides on easily and is definitely blending friendly.

I love how the packaging is clear as this makes flipping through your eyeshadows easier. Straight away you can see what colours are inside and you don’t have to go through them all to see what shades you have available. This is a product I would buy again and I would definitely want to try some of the other shades too.

If I had to choose which one I prefer then Crystal Waters won, not because their blues but because the difference in shades is a lot greater than that of Country Woods. I find Country Woods lacking in the shades difference so I wouldn’t use just this one palette on it own. I would most likely use one or two colours and then mix it with something else.

Have anyone else tried CG’s Eye Enhancers?

If so it would be lovely if you would share with me in the comment section.

Wet N Wild Lipsticks and Coloricon

This is only a small part of my Crush Cosmetics order, and I’m finally getting around to reviewing some of the products.  Today I’ll be sharing my experience with you on my very first Wet N Wild products.  I ended up getting two lipsticks and a Coloricon which is an eyeshadow palette that I’ve heard good reviews about.

My very first Wet N Wild makeup :)

I don’t’ remember the names of the lipsticks and I can’t find my invoice, and the lipsticks don’t have names on them!  They’re very creamy and smooth and don’t smell bad at all.  They’re not matte colours and gives off a pearl kind of finish after application.  The pigmentations of the two colours are not that, but compared to NYX round lipsticks they’re not as good.

The two colours I bought, but forgotten name and it isn't on the lipstick istself either :(

I also noticed that the life of them are rather short so I found myself reapplying them more often than I usually do when I wear lipsticks.  One major thing I didn’t like is not even related to the product but the actual packaging.  Love the fact it’s a clear cap so I can see the colour, but the fact it doesn’t retract completely into the tube is a bad thing for me.  I’m a clumsy person meaning I would potentially smack the cap into it and causing it major damage.

Clear cap :)
Doesn't retract completely into tube :(

Coloricon is a small palette consisting of 6 colours.

“Three matte and 3 highly pigmented effect shades that are sure to please the makeup minimalist and enthusiast alike.”

It comes in a plastic packaging which is actually quite sturdy and strong. None of that cheap soft plastic. It also comes with a cute sponge applicator and brush (even though I won’t use them, that’s not the point). The small soft brush however sheds like crazy!

Matte colours on the left, Shimmer colours on the right

The colour I picked up is “Lust” and other colours available for purchase are:

Greed

Pride

Vanity

I had done swatches with and without base, with the top being without and the bottom being with.

Shimmer Colours without flash

The pigmentations are great, better than I originally thought and the texture is smooth and soft. Application is easy as it glides on smoothly and it very easy to blend as well. I love the shimmery colours more, but the matte are just as great and I would love to purchase the other colours available!

I did an EOTD using this palette and other products used are:

Maybelline Unstoppable Eyeliner (Onyx)

Too Faced Shadow Insurance

Rimmel The Max Volume Flash Mascara (Ultra Black)
