Hello my dear blog readers/followers :)
I'm sorry I haven't updated or posted any looks or work as of late. I'm nearing the final weeks of my course and I'm busy designing looks for my model that I'm using for the final Photoshoot coming up soon.
I currently have a Sigma brush/giveaway that I need to get up asap so keep an eye out for that.
I also would like to let my fellow Australian followers who are interested in Inglot. They now have an online store available where you can buy from them or if you ever wanted to check the price of the products the site will have them all up to date.

There are also some mascaras I've being using for some time and I would love to post up a comparison review on them, but I need to focus on my school stuff for now so hopefully when I'm done I can get that up for you guys.
Of course when school is done I'll share with you photos of my work for my final practical test at school :) We're doing high fashion editorial makeup for the final photoshoot of the course so it should be exciting. In the midst of doing my designs and completing my course I have started providing makeup lessons the public as a service so that also taking some of my time up as well.
Anyway I'll tell you guys more when my couse is finally complete but I'll try to post up FOTDs or even EOTDs from time to from.
Don't forget I started a professional blog that will only be based on my experience in makeup school and sharing tips and tricks. Nothing personal or to do with my everyday life so if you're interested pelase check it out (sorry there isn't much there at the moment since I'm a bit tight on time at the moment).

FOTDs (Day and Night) 16/04/2011
Yo yo!!
Hopping in to share two FOTDs that was done ont he same day (Saturday). One during the day and for the one I wore out at night for cocktails with some mates. I had a blast but the suffering at the end of the night and the next day was horrible! I don't even want to go into details how much craziness we had that night, things didn't come out very pure at the end and I'm shocked at how dirty our minds turn when we're drunk/tipsy.
Anyway I don't really remember what I used since my table was a complete mess, but I know a couple of things for sure.
For the day time FOTD I used...
Napoleon Perdis Light Diffusing Makeup - Look 3 (I'm running low and it is the first time I ever going to finish a foundation completely!)
NYX Round Lip Gloss - Natural
Don't remember the eyeshadows but it was just 2 browns (one lighter and one darker) and a black for the base near the eyelashes.
No eyeliner was used for this look.
Macara would most likely be my trusty Maybelline Great Lash Mascara in Waterproof :)
Brows are filled in with the darkest brown from my Milani Brow kit

Deprived of makeup drives me insane... today's FOTD
Yay! I'm back. I've been sick for like the last 5-6 days and thus I have not touched my makeup since today. I don't like touching my makeup when I'm sick because of the germs and what not will stick them like crazy. Otherwise I'll have to keep disinfecting them and that will just take way too long. Anyway I'm finally feeling 100% again and so I was in heaven today when I woke up and sat at my table in front of everything :) Bliss!!!!
Anyway I didn't go crazy since I had to go to work so I went super natural this morning. This sort of natural is kind of like very little makeup on. Just enough to cover blemishes and give the face a bit of colour. My skin is horrible at the moment. Dry and pimples here and there. It normally turns pretty bad when I get sick because I don't really look after it as well. All I wanted to do when I get home lately is just sleep it all off.
Enough rubbish, down to business...

Jesse's Girl Pure Pigment Eye Dusts Swatches
I actually owned these Jesse's Girl Eye Dusts for a year now and I just forgot about ever doing swatches of them. I first heard the name of this brand when I was watching one of Youtube Guru JulieG's video. Therefore I am not affiliated with Jesse's Girl and these pigments/eye dusts are not free. I purchased them with my own money.
Anyway there is a total of 28 shades int he collection and checking their website it haven't changed.
http://www.jessesgirlcosmetics.com/
These eye dusts can be purchased from the website or if you live in the US they are available in some Rite Aid Stores (I think).
Pricing According to Website (Does not include shipping charges):
$4.99 each
2.5grams of product in a plastic jar with sifter
I purchased the the whole lot for:
$92.50 for all 28 shades
(Roughly $3.30 each)
However I know there are people who may not want all the shades so purchasing them individually may suit them better. They also sell other cosmetics on the website so you can check them out and I previously done swatches for their Star Dust Powder Eyeshadows which you can view here if you haven't so:
Jesse's Girl Star Dust Powder Eyeshadows
Hope these swatches help, they're wonder pigments and are of great quality. They're smooth and soft, even the ones that were more glittery were smooth and not chunky. These swatches are done without a base so if you do use a base then the pigmentation would be greater and it'll grip the pigments better as well. For those that look rather more glittery a stickier base would be highly recommended.

Makeup Book Collection
Unfortunately I have no wonderful updates for you guys. I haven't had time to do any makeup look, however I had my first ever Airbrushing class last night and I LOVE it. Second airbrushing class is next week so I can't wait!
Anyway so instead sharing reviews or looks today I just wanted to share a photo. I can't believe how much my makeup book collection had grown and there are still so many books I want to buy.
Do anyone have any makeup book(s) that they like and recommend? If so I would love to hear about it :)
Hope everyone has a good week and hopefully I can get something up for you guys soon sometime this week :)

FunnyFace Charity Challenge
Hey!
This is my first ever dare to wear challenge I'm doing out of all the ones that FunnyFace Beauty aka Alicia had done so far on her wonderful blog. If you haven't checked her out you should because she has an awesome blog.
http://www.funnyfacebeauty.com/
Anyway this is a charity challenge and that is why I've taken out some limited time out to do a Japanese inspired look. That's right she's doing charity for the recent horrible disaster that had struck Japan. For each entry she and her family will be donating $10 so if 100 people entered then that means they donate $1000. Alicia you are a beautiful person inside and out for doing such a great charity!
Anyway now down to business...

The look i created is a typical dolly kind of look. Unfortunately I would of loved to try something more creative, but I'm kind of limited to only a little bit of time. I have been so busy lately that I had hardly anytime to myself and since I had that one opportunity today I took that chance and threw myself in without a plan. However it's not perfect and I thought I could of done a way better job! Nevermind that, I couldn't find suitable lashes my lower lashes so I didn't add any and I don't have double eyelids :(
Completed look with props :D |
